WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 5K GUTTER AND A 6K GUTTER?

Most homes in North America are fitted with a 5K gutter system. These gutters can withstand a large amount of rainfall while still looking stylish and modern. 5K gutters are also lightweight and come in a variety of colors and materials, with aluminum being the most popular. Most homeowners are content with the 5K gutter system however, if your roof is larger than most or has a steeper incline, 6K may be right for you!
6K gutters hold a larger volume of water, paired with the appropriate downspouts, 6K gutters are perfect for large commercial buildings, homes with bigger roofs, or homes with steeper roofs. If your home has a large roof then it will likely collect more rainfall than the average home, paired with a 3”x4” downspout we will have that water draining in no time. Whatever your home requires, there is no need to worry because OGA offers a myriad of colors in both the 5K and 6K gutter systems.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD GUTTERS BE CLEANED?

Typically gutter systems should be cleaned once or twice a year, depending on where you live, your yard foliage, and if you have gutter filters. We offer a maintenance program with all of our full gutter installations which provides a spring and fall cleaning.
